Apartamento Mariante

Localizado em Porto Alegre, o Apartamento Mariante ocupa um edifício da década de 1980 e foi concebido como um refúgio urbano que valoriza referências de brasilidade a partir do diálogo entre memória, materialidade e contemporaneidade. O projeto parte do reconhecimento das qualidades originais do imóvel, incorporando-as como elementos estruturantes de sua identidade arquitetônica.

Com intervenções pontuais na planta original, a proposta priorizou a integração dos espaços sociais, promovendo maior fluidez espacial e qualificando as áreas de convívio. As paredes foram descascadas para revelar o tijolo maciço, mantido aparente como expressão da materialidade construtiva do edifício.

O piso de parquet da sala, corredor e dormitórios foi preservado, reforçando as características originais do apartamento e contribuindo para uma atmosfera acolhedora. Da mesma forma, o azulejo da lavanderia foi mantido, assumindo o papel de elemento de memória e autenticidade dentro da nova configuração espacial.

A materialidade adotada — além dos elementos preservados — incorpora madeira, palha, tecidos naturais, granilite e uma paleta de tons verdes e terrosos, estabelecendo uma linguagem coesa, presente nos revestimentos, no mobiliário e nos elementos decorativos. Essa paleta cromática se estende aos demais ambientes, assegurando unidade visual e continuidade entre os espaços.

O projeto luminotécnico foi desenvolvido com foco na valorização das texturas e dos materiais existentes e incorporados, permitindo diferentes cenários de uso e contribuindo para uma atmosfera equilibrada e acolhedora.

O resultado é um apartamento que concilia funcionalidade, conforto e identidade, reinterpretando a brasilidade a partir da valorização do existente e oferecendo uma resposta contemporânea às dinâmicas do morar urbano em Porto Alegre.

Located in Porto Alegre, the Mariante Apartment occupies a 1980s building and was conceived as an urban retreat that celebrates Brazilian identity through a dialogue between memory, materiality, and contemporaneity. The design begins with the recognition of the property’s original qualities, incorporating them as structuring elements of its architectural identity.

With targeted interventions in the original floor plan, the proposal prioritized the integration of social spaces, promoting greater spatial fluidity and enhancing areas of gathering and interaction. The walls were stripped back to reveal the solid brick, left exposed as an expression of the building’s constructive materiality.

The parquet flooring in the living room, corridor, and bedrooms was preserved, reinforcing the apartment’s original character and contributing to a warm and inviting atmosphere. Likewise, the laundry room tiles were maintained, assuming the role of elements of memory and authenticity within the new spatial configuration.

The adopted material palette — in addition to the preserved elements — incorporates wood, straw, natural fabrics, terrazzo, and a range of green and earthy tones, establishing a cohesive language present in the finishes, furniture, and decorative elements. This chromatic palette extends throughout the remaining spaces, ensuring visual unity and continuity.

The lighting design was developed with a focus on enhancing the textures and materials, both existing and newly introduced, allowing for different usage scenarios and contributing to a balanced and welcoming atmosphere.

The result is an apartment that reconciles functionality, comfort, and identity, reinterpreting Brazilian character through the appreciation of the existing structure and offering a contemporary response to the dynamics of urban living in Porto Alegre.
